Nestled on a rise overlooking the Tasman Sea Samten Pa Cottage is secluded although only 5km from Bermagui. The self-contained cottage adjoins the homestead on this remarkable 25 Acre coastal retreat. Bounded by wetlands,the Bermagui Flora and Fauna Reserve and native forests.
Breakfast on the seaside veranda and enjoy the views. Barbeque in the sheltered court yard. Enjoy one of the many relaxing walks, explore the pristine wetlands, marvel at the forests or walk barefoot along the sparsely populated Haywards Beach. For the cycle enthusiast The Bermagui mountain bike track is just a few hundred meters away
Laze about and read before dining out at one of Bermagui's restaurants or self cater in the well equipped kitchen.
The cottage has two double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The living-dining room has extensive views as does the adjoining kitchen. A fully equipped laundry is also included

Bermagui is a small seaside town well off the highway and surrounded by State Forests, National Parks Lakes and State Reserves. There are many unspoiled beaches as well as a patrolled surf beach. The town has many restaurants, cafe's, wine bars and Art Galleries. The new Fisherman's Wharf complex houses many of these. The Country Club has a Golf Course and Tennis courts.

Summary: Samten Pa has a delightful setting with mobs of kangaroos grazing on the surrounding grasses. The views are endlessly relaxing and my brother and I were both sorry to leave and sorry we weren't able to use our time there for more relaxation! The facilities are good and the space super clean. The hosts were available but respected our privacy. Thanks so much Alan and Annie.

Summary: Everything we needed for our week long stay. Good bed, good layout, plenty of cutlery and crockery. Far enough away from the busy town but close enough to pop in for anything we needed. Superb views from front veranda. Great for relaxing, walking, watching the wildlife on the marsh.

Summary: We had an amazing week here! The property is so peaceful, and equipped with everything you could need. Alan was close at hand to offer assistance if needed, without being at all intrusive. The cottage is close enough to Burmagui to easily access everything you need, but also feels like it's a million miles from anywhere. I could have stayed and watched the wildlife and the water for another week! Will definitely return here.

Summary: What an amazing spot. Very secluded with so much wildlife on the doorstep. So many different views which change constantly with the weather. We didn't switch on the TV, no need, watched the kangaroos and the sea instead! Everything you need is there, hosts are extremely helpful but it's also completely private. 5 minute drive to Bermagui township and the blue pool. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Alan and Annie.

Summary: Overall we had an amazing stay here and what's more the weather was fab!!! Comfortable beds, great amenities, magnificent views, losds of wildlife so would recommend taking binoculars with you. Just a short drive to wonderful beaches and the lovely town of Bermagui. Would definitely recommend.

Summary: We stayed 2 nights at this special cottage set on acres of nature on the outskirts of Bermagui. I cannot imagine a more beautiful natural environment and outlook, or a more perfect small cottage for a coastal rejuvenation break. The cottage is full of light and well designed with good quality bedding and facilities. The host Alan was very kind and helpful: and it was a treat to find complimentary wine and milk in the fridge on arrival. This is a great base for exploring the area but would also be a perfect haven if it rained for yiur entire stay. You can feel snug inside while gazing out at the lakes and ocean, and trees and wildlife. I have stayed in a number of places in Bermagui, all very pleasant, but none compare with Samten Pa. I hope that I can return soon.

Summary: We had the most wonderful week at Alan and Annie’s house. It honestly, it was better than the pictures! The location was absolutely stunning and only a short drive to Bermagui town. Our boys (4yrs and 6yrs) loved spotting the animals on the property, the Kangaroos, echidnas, goanna and such an array of birds (galahs, cockatoos). To wake up at sunrise to hear the waves crashing and the mist lifting across the water was amazing. Alan was so warm and welcoming. We have left with such a love for Bermagui and so relaxed after our wonderful stay. Thanks for having us!

Summary: I can't express how wonderul our stay at the cottage was! Alan and Annie were wonderful hosts, with the most accompdating cottage that was very well equipped with the necessities of a stay. It was clean, pristine and homely and quickly became our home away from home. The views from the property were astounding, with plenty of wilflife and a stunning water view. I'll have to admit that the photos in the listing don't do the cottage justice!
