Positive: Lovely family running the hostel. Room was the „penthouse“ of the hostel - clean, good size, private bathroom (just next door).

Negative: Don’t be too noise sensitive, as the surround effect of the „penthouse“ is intense in case of dogs barking or some louder music (in case of Halloween celebrations).

Summary: Lovely place to stay in Juayua! :)

Positive: Feels like home - we stayed in a private double room and it was super comfy and clean, with its own little terrace. Breakfast was great. The best part is the family who runs the place are all so friendly and make you feel welcome.

Negative: As other reviews mention the showers are cold but every other aspect of this place makes up for this.

Positive: Friendly and helpful staff. Room was nice, bed was comfortable. Our room opened onto a balcony with a view of the city and mountains beyond - a nice bonus (there is also a shared common area balcony too). The shared kitchen was very clean, and the included breakfast was a nice bonus too. It was a little walk from center of town, but we didn't find it to be a bother. Normal chicken and dog noise as is the norm in these parts ;)

Summary: Nice view, nice room, nice breakfast, nice value!

Positive: The property location was amazing, the entire staff were amicable, gracious, polite, and beautiful people. Lupe made the best and most delicious breakfast.

Negative: There was not a single thing I did not love about my stay at Samsay Hostel. Loved everything!

Summary: Thank you to all the staff for making me feel so welcome and relaxed.

Positive: Everything!! I can not say enough about the staff! So welcoming and nice! The rooms are clean, and the bathrooms are clean. The breakfast is so good, with fresh baked (from the bakery) bolillos. It's literally a 6 min walk to downtown, and everything is so nice and peaceful. The place has a small black sign, but it's literally the second door on your right when you enter the street! It was my home away from home! As a solo traveler, I felt safe and cared for!! Ask about their friend/ tour guy Antonio. He'll take you to see the most amazing waterfalls ever!!! It's a must!!!

Positive: From the very first day, all the staff were very kind to us. The view from our room was spectacular, and we felt so comfortable that we ended up staying two extra nights! I highly recommend taking the Seven Waterfalls tour with Antonio!

Positive: Comfortable / calm / clean hostel. Nice facilities and kitchen with filtered water in the sink. Hosts were very available and helpful. Beautiful view from room. This is not a party hostel - we felt more cozy homey vibes. Highly recommend if you’re not the party type.

Negative: Our room could’ve used a couple hooks to hang stuff.
