Positive: a spacious house with all practical things you might need from cork screw to aircon, very quiet, and with lovely views into the valley. the starts at night are fantastic. We didn't cook but ate out in the ok tavernas, there are 3 in this little town, nothing special food wise, and the village is quite run down, clearly surviving on passing tourism to and from the Samerian gorge, which is about 20 minutes drive away further up. Good aircon, and great to have mosquito nets on all the windows. We used the little washing machine to clean some clothes, and though we managed to get it to work, it is hit or miss as to if it will. Comfy but narrow bed, i's call it a queen bed to be generous. Please note, it is totally impossible to get a car other then a pickpup truck up the drive, so though there is parking by the house, you can't get there and will have to carry your luggage up a very steep, narrow driveway.
Negative: the driveway is unsuitable for normal cars, which means you have to carry everything from your car parked on a narrow track, up the steep driveway. there are also a lot of mosquito in the area, so be aware when sitting out, esp in the evening

Positive: Beautiful views, total seclusion, Swiss Alpine feel, two toilets and immaculate wooden floors.
Negative: washing machine door was tricky to operate and we nearly had our clothes trapped and locked inside, but we had prompt advice from the property manager. There is no warning about the incredibly narrow and steep driveway, which guests really should be advised to avoid and park their cars just up the street on the town square. It has gravel and pine needles on it causing our tires to skid - you need to be an experienced Cretan driver to handle this. Only one bed is a double and it’s small and very hard and there were no instructions regarding the hot water, which ran out before we understood we needed to activate the boiler through the thermostat. Kitchen cupboards had a mildew smell although very well stocked. It’s the mountains after all so maybe we shouldn’t have been surprised birds were nesting in the chimney and we couldn’t make a fire on chilly evenings. A few more basic instructions and advice would help much of this as it’s a lovely place to stay.
