Positive: I had an absolutely wonderful stay at Sala Hồ Tràm. I can confidently say this is the best homestay in Ho Tram I have ever experienced. At first, after seeing the photos online, I thought it might not be as beautiful as expected. But the moment I arrived, I was truly surprised – everything was even better than the pictures. Right from the entrance, you walk into a large tropical flower garden, lush, green, and very impressive. What I loved the most is the very spacious garden and outdoor area, full of trees and flowers, creating the perfect space to walk, relax, and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere it really feels like staying in a boutique resort in Ho Tram. Although Sala Ho Tram is a homestay, the rooms are luxurious, clean, and fully equipped like a hotel. Everything is carefully prepared, making the stay very comfortable and relaxing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The homestay offers motorbike rental, but I chose to use a bicycle because the location is so convenient – it takes only a few minutes to reach the beach. Another special thing is that Sala is located next to a natural forest, so the air is always cool, fresh, and peaceful, completely different from crowded tourist areas. There is also a restaurant and coffee shop inside the property, which is very convenient for guests who want a long and relaxing stay without going far. I’m more than happy to recommend Sala Ho Tram to everyone, especially because of the kindness and hospitality of the people here. I will definitely come back again.

Positive: The homestay is so characterful and beautiful with all the amazing flowers and blossom. The owners are so friendly and generous. We were invited to try their home made wine and had several toasts! We were cooked a lovely meal, and then played pool with some friends of theirs. Our room was very comfortable with a large balcony area (with lots of flowers, of course!) and had everything we wanted. After breakfast, Jenny sent us on our way with bananas and oranges for our journey as we cycled to our next destination.

The grounds are spacious with resort-style services: large, clean rooms; a kids-only pool (my favorite because hygiene is well maintained); relaxing areas; and BBQ. The price is reasonable for the scale . Lots of nice corners to chill and take photos. Overall neat and comfortable, great for families or groups. I’m happy with the stay and will return.

Positive: My family usually stays at resorts for our vacations, so we were a bit hesitant at first when deciding to try a homestay this time. But the moment we arrived at Sala, all of our worries completely disappeared. It truly exceeded our expectations — in fact, from my personal experience, it was even better than many high-end resorts we’ve stayed at before. Although it’s called a “homestay,” Sala is incredibly spacious, lush with greenery, and thoughtfully designed down to every detail. There are plenty of flexible accommodation options here — from private villas for families or larger groups to a separate hotel-style building for those who prefer privacy but still want full amenities. Everything was clean, airy, and gave off a very relaxing and refreshing vibe. One big plus is Sala’s beautifully designed and elegant restaurant. However, what impressed me the most was the sincerity and thoughtfulness of the staff. They genuinely suggested that we go to the nearby beach (just over 1 km away) to buy fresh seafood ourselves, then have local vendors cook it and deliver it straight back to Sala. It might sound simple, but it turned out to be a very unique and enjoyable experience — delicious, affordable, and full of local flavor. I understand that everyone has different preferences when it comes to travel. Some people might love it, others might not. But for my family, Sala was truly a wonderful place — cozy, beautiful, welcoming, and memorable. We’ll definitely be coming back.

Negative: People here are incredibly warm and friendly — so much so that for someone meeting them for the first time, it might feel like they have some kind of hidden agenda. But in reality, it’s simply their genuine hospitality and sincere desire to make others feel comfortable and welcomed. In my opinion, this might be the one thing most easily misunderstood by those not used to such honest and wholehearted kindness.
