Summary: Nice "à la carte" breakfast. Very small pool. Rooms decorated with industrial style. I do not know the prices at the surrounding hotels, but compared with other hotels at two hours drive, this hotel was expensive.

Summary: Beautiful hotel with best riverfront view. Room is very clean, and overlooks the river and a temple and stupa across the river. Good restaurant on site. Rooms are very sound proof and quiet. Well located close to all of the sites in Ayutthaya. Upon check in you are offered a tray with three or four types of pillow samples to choose from for your stay. Also, two other trays to choose the scent of your hand soap and bar soap. The hotel helped up contract a good, english speaking guide and taxi to help expedite our tour of the city, who we used for two days. Highly recommend this lovely boutique hotel.

Summary: The ground floor room with a river view was nice. The terrace furniture was a bit dirty and many ants so didn’t sit outside much. The breakfast was incredible and tables were right beside the river with a great view of the temple opposite. Staff were all very polite and helpful. Definitely one of the nicest hotels in the area,

Summary: We recently stayed at Sala Ayutthaya and had a truly memorable experience. Although the adjacent river had risen considerably during our stay, the riverside restaurant remained fully operational and our meals were absolutely delicious — a testament to the hotel’s resilience and excellent service. The hotel staff were all consistently warm, friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The interior of the hotel and our room stood out in the best possible way: the design was unique, fresh and unexpected, giving us a delightful sense of discovery every time we returned. We were also impressed and grateful that the hotel offered complimentary rental bicycles for sightseeing — a thoughtful touch that really enhanced our stay in Ayutthaya. After checking out, we inadvertently left behind an item in our room; when we contacted the hotel they responded immediately and handled the matter professionally, even arranging for the item to be mailed to our home address. That level of care far exceeded our expectations. In short: if you are planning to stay in Ayutthaya, we wholeheartedly recommend Sala Ayutthaya — it delivers excellent food, outstanding service, intriguing design, and genuine attention to guest needs.

Summary: Great staff, especially Fon. Perfect location on the river and some of the best Thai food I've ever had (the green papaya salad couldn't have been more fresh!). I wouldn't suggest the pool room.... It feels clostrophobic, no view of anything.
