Positive: I booked a 3 week stay at Sakura house and must say that this was the best accommodation i have booked over the past seven years. Michi made a nice western style and japanese breakfast every morning and also made a lovely beef curry on my last night. Michi also gave me medication for a cough that i had. Katsu helped me plan new train routes for Japan and also gave me a lift to the train station. It was a very enjoyable stay😊

Positive: What a fantastic stay! Sakura house is located in a quiet neigborouhd, 2 train stops away from Kyoto main station (Train every 10'). There's also a large shopping center nearby full of restaurant which are priced for local people. I couldn't praise enough Mishi and Katsu (The owners) for their kindness. They help me to create visit plans which made sense. They gave me many tips. Lastly it is worth mentioning the brilliant breakfast prepared and varying from one day to another. They keep you going for the busy day ahead.

Positive: Lovely couple who owns the place helped us with many recommendations of what was to see nearby: they even went ahead to provide us with itinerary based on what places were least crowded and in vicinity of each other. We felt we were truly taken care of!

Positive: We had such a lovely stay at Sakura House, what a wonder couple our hosts are. They were so kind, friendly, warm and helpful. Our room was lovely with great facilities and a private shower and toilet and strong air con. We had a lovely and generous breakfast served each morning and helpful tips on how to plan our day. We would stay again and recommend this to anyone visiting Kyoto.

Positive: Our stay in Kyoto was part of a two week trip in Japan together with my daughter. Michi-san and Katsu-san made our stay in Kyoto very memorable. The room was nice and cozy and had everything you need. The breakfast was really tasty (!!!) and we were able to enjoy it in their garden when it was nice weather. Both Michi-san and Katsu-san made us feel very much at home and are very kind people. They also know a lot about the area and gave us a lot of valuable tips on which places were the best to visit and how to escape the crowds. All in all, we are really glad that we found Sakura House and hope that we're able to visit again sometime in the future! Warm greetings to Michi-san and Katsu-san from Germany!

Positive: My girlfriend and I stayed at sakura house for 4 nights out of our 14 day trip around tokyo, kyoto and osaka and it was by far our favourite stay during that time. Michi and katsu were amazing hosts and such friendly people we truly felt like part of their family. The room we stayed in was clean and equipped with everything we needed along with a private shower, sink and toilet, Couldn't ask for anything more. One of our favorite parts was our healthy and varied morning breakfast under the beautiful cherry blossom in the garden carefully and thoughtfully put together by michi. After breakfast in the sun, Katsu would always help us put together an itinerary for the day giving us recommendations for the best spots and travel advice for the day ahead. Overall a perfect stay in a stunning traditional Japanese home for a very reasonable price. We hope to come back one day.
