Positive: Great location, in the centre of Ieper, 3-4 mins walk from the Menin Gate and only 10 mins or so to the heart of the town. Parking was easy. We enjoyed the circular walk around the town ramparts (the Pacific Eiland restaurant was a great spot for an afternoon drink) and learning about the WWI history of the town and the area. The In Flanders Fields museum dedicated to WWI was excellent. We visited a number of the cemeteries in the area which was a very emotional and moving experience - one day we hired bikes and cycled to the Tyne Cot and Passchendaele cemeteries. The apartment was superb - it would be very spacious even for four people (we were two). It was attractively furnished and very comfortable. Our hosts were very friendly and very closely connected to the above museum and WWI history - we were grateful for the generous provisions waiting for us when we arrived, including local beer!

Positive: The location of this apartment is fantastic.about 300m from the Menin Gate. Neatly furnished with a lovely courtyard garden. Piet ( one of the owners) welcomed us and was so informative about the local history.

Positive: Beautiful home with everything we could possibly need. We stayed three nights and loved it. Very comfortable, warm, beautiful garden, just couldn’t fault it. Location was perfect and we could walk everywhere. Hosts were amazing and so helpful. Definitely recommend to anyone wanting a home away from home.

Summary: Absolute perfection. Highly recommend for anyone but particularly for a longer stay. It was an exceptional home.

Positive: This casually elegant apartment was the most perfect accommodation we’ve ever had in our travels. The apt is beautifully decorated, impeccably clean, well designed and ideally located for exploring the Menin Gate and Cloth Market area. The proprietors are a wealth of knowledge of the history of the Ypres Salient and stock the apartment with books to assist you in deepening your understanding. We were only one couple but the layout is perfect for 2 couples or a family, with separate bedroom areas, each with own bathrooms.
