Positive: The meals were absolutely exquisite, put together with precision and elegance. Substantial portions as well. The staff were delightful, they told us about a festival that was going on in town that was super fun to enjoy. I loved experiencing a traditional Japanese futon as well as the rotenburo that was attached to our room. I can’t say enough nice things about this hotel.

Positive: I liked the private Onsen bath in our room, it was a delight to use each day. And the meals were superb, kaiseki meals with about 29 dishes for each meal, served in a private room, with great service.

Negative: The location of the hotel did not have much of interest within walking distance. It is not reasonably walkable from the train station.

Positive: It was a nice experience. Even with the language barrier, we could enjoy our stay in a comfortable environment. The dinner and breakfast were amazing. The onsen is great and the room is really big for 2 people, overall my husband and I were very happy with our stay and would recommend and stay again.

Positive: Getting to the Ryokan was straight forward. Taxis were mostly Toyota Yaris’ which made fitting two large suitcases impossible. A lovely local organised a larger taxi for us. Upon arriving, the staff were very hospitable and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. They tried their absolute best to communicate with two native English speakers. Dinner was amazing, offering a wide variety of fresh food. Breakfast was equally amazing. The room was clean and very well presented. The private onsen was the highlight for sure! Overall, this was a very memorable experience and I would highly recommend it.

Negative: I loved every second here. Nothing we didn’t like.
