Positive: This unique homestay, more akin to a boutique hotel, consists of four distinct houses conveniently located either next door or across the street from each other. Our room was thoughtfully designed, featuring excellent lighting, a comfortable bed with clean linens, and fresh bath towels daily. Modern amenities included a new wall-mounted TV (bring your Netflix account!), fast Wi-Fi, a clean and dry shower with reliable hot and cold water, a wash basin and faucet (cold water only) and efficient air conditioning. A complimentary tea/coffee set and hot water heater are available in the room. Barti, the property manager, was exceptionally responsive and ensured our stay was smooth and enjoyable. This homestay is an ideal base for travelers exploring local attractions like Prambanan and Borobudur temples, or those arriving via Adisucipto airport. While it's approximately 8 km from downtown Jogjakarta, taxis and motorbike taxis are readily available. For dining, the nearby former Sheraton Mustika provides international standard restaurants (with international pricing), and numerous local eateries are scattered throughout the area, so you'll have no trouble finding delicious and affordable food.

Negative: A shower curtain would be a practical addition to prevent water from splashing the toilet. For a more comfortable stay, we recommend guests bring their own tissue roll and extra clothes hangers, as these were not provided (you can always ask the manager). A bathroom mat can be requested from the manager. The absence of a mini-fridge was notable, and its inclusion would be a welcome convenience. While we had initially booked the charming standalone Safa3 house, we were unexpectedly, and without explanation, assigned to Safa4 next door. This change, however, didn't detract significantly from our overall positive experience.
