Positive: I loved the map, the directions, the ease of access, and the layout of the property. The cabin was amazing. This one has a fire pit, porch swing, beautiful lights, a picnic table, and it was the perfect size. It was easy to get the key. Tip for those like me who are not as familiar with older doors: you have to pull the wooden dowel on the string to lift the wooden lock as you twist the door handle to go inside.

Negative: The pool was closed for the season— it would be really nice to have that listed somewhere because pool access is in the title, and it’s the only reason we chose Lake Monroe over another Indiana site. Totally fine to have a seasonal pool, just wish the advertised title had been accurate. My five year old was quite sad. The heater in the room was not sufficient against the chill of a fall morning. Not sure if we would be allowed to bring our own upon return.

Summary: Great cabin, close enough to downtown Bloomington and the state park to make for a lovely stay!

Positive: Clean, well appointed cabins. Small space but good enough for a family with two pre-teen kids. Nice deck with views into the woods - particularly beautiful in the fall. Private fire-pit and picnic tables. First things the kids said was "no tv?!" We consider that a positive. Communication from the owners was excellent. If you are open to a cabin experience in an RV park not too far from Bloomington this is a good choice. We would definitely stay here again.

Negative: About 25 minutes outside of Bloomington but an easy drive and quiet setting. No shower or hot water. There is a community shower building. Cell (Att) and wifi service very weak in our cabin.

Summary: Enjoyed our brief cabin experience. Would definitely return.
