Positive: The lodge was full of character and the fireplace in the common area created a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere on chilly evenings. The room was comfortable, the breakfast was generous, and the views of the volcano were absolutely breathtaking. The hosts were incredibly helpful throughout our stay.

Negative: The shower took a while to warm up.

Positive: The staff were amazing, attentive and helpful. The family made sure that the fire was always going to keep us warm, gave us milk for teas and coffees daily and made sure all our other needs were met. The cooking was £8 per person and did not disappoint, it was very delicious and filling.

Negative: The only thing we could potentially recommend would be an option as to what we could have for dinner as we were given what they were cooking my that night - which was still very tasty.

Positive: Hosts, family owned, mother and daughters are excellent in every which way. They went above and beyond the normal in all aspect. They even helped us to wash our clothes, got us mangoes from their local markets just because we said we like them. Mother’s cooking is simply superb! Had so much fu, especially with their pet lamas in the evenings.

Negative: Cannot find a single reason during our entire stay.

Summary: Simply superb, wonderful people!

Positive: The people were wonderful and it's a lovely place. We got a lot of useful information on hikes as well as the living of people there. They prepared a very tasty dinner for us and the breakfast is very rich and tasty. We would highly recommend this place.
