Positive: A slightly hidden location right over the waterfall with a view at the old town is a blast. The apartment has everything (but a larger coffee pot) for our group of five.

Positive: Wonderful service, location fabulous, easy walk to town area, host was sooo helpful.

Negative: My only comment would be the bed was a little hard, not what I’m used to. Also asked for an extra pillow as European pillows are very small and was no bother to get more pillows After leaving, we certainly missed the place

Positive: The town of Kuldiga appeared as a hidden gem for me and my friends. The old town is one of a kind: old and modern at the same time. We explored it extensively (local coffee roasters, a luxoriuos brewery that could easily fit in any of the scandinavian capitals, and eating oysters with a view to the widest waterfall in Europe). It is a must visit for any traveler. The apartment we rented was located in the most admired place of the town: being on the first floor, just above the owners' area, it had the views to the magnificient bridge, and the waterfall was just out of the window - it could not be any closer. The space was tidy and well looked after. We had no complaints for the equipment of the flat (except for the fridge too small for 6 persons). We cooked our own meals, and enjoyed evey moment of cooking and dining. The constant white noise from the waterfall sounded magic. An exeptional space it was. Also the host on booking.com chat was polite and responsive, helpfull with anything I requested or asked. A friend of mine left a jacket in the flat - the host called just after we left to make sure he gets that one back. So very nice and caring of them!

Negative: It would be nice to mark in the property description that this flat is a part of a compound with a hostel and a camping area. There was significant movement there throught the weekend: RV's, travelers with tents, reserved parties. Some people might be disturbed by this type of activities just outside your doorstep, and might be interested to know that they can expect a LOT of people around before they make the reservation. Having said all the good things about the indirect communication with the host, the staff member that met us at the gate was not that comforting. We were given remarks on multiple issues; like smoking too close to a tent of traveler just outside the house, while she had no problem smoking just under the window to the waterfall, that we kept open just to get fresh air. In fact, I could not get my mind of the feeling that she wanted us gone before we even moved in.
