Summary: A great pub hotel in a quiet village. Room was excellent and the pub grub was well above average with some interesting wines. Staff were very helpful. I had a marvellous time.

Summary: Lovely country pub. Restaurant was really nice, staff friendly and attentive. Room made up during the day while we were out. Breakfast was cooked fresh and plentiful. As we were "up and out" they accomodated a "to go" sausage sandwich and flask of tea which was much appreciated. Only slight issue is the carpark is tiny, not a problem for us as we are used to parking a big car in tight spaces but worth bearing in mind. That said there is lots of on street parking down a quiet road if it really bothers you. Will certaintly be back for Burghley next year.

Summary: We stayed 2 nights for a family wedding, the room was clean, nice bedding, a bit on the small side. Extract in shower room didn't work. Breakfast was excellent, welcoming, good choice and service, prompt and efficient. We tried the full english and scrambels egg on toast, both very good.
