Positive: A wonderful accommodation, very clean and comfortable with everything we needed. Outdoor space a big bonus, lovely to spend the evenings outdoors, enjoying the views. Hosts very helpful and friendly easy communication, very kindly provided us with mango from the trees in the garden. Location above the main town, a 15 minute walk to main square, 20 minutes to ferry port, lots of places to eat. Local bus station very useful for getting around the island, as we didn't have a car. Thank you Penny and family for a fabulous stay.

Negative: There was nothing to mention, could have stayed longer.

Positive: It has everything you need. It’s clean, very comfortable. Has all the mod cons. Has a gorgeous outside sitting area with beautiful views. The owners are very lovely considerate people. They are there if you need them but also very respectful of your privacy.

Negative: It was exactly as described. As long as you're ok with a short uphill walk after visiting the town it's a great choice.

Positive: Perfectly placed in San Sebastián. The owners are just fabulous. They are there if you need them but allow you total privacy. The property is spacious, immaculately clean, the bed , bedding and furnishings are of lovely quality. The kitchen has everything you would ever need. There are all the mod cons. There is also Condiments, washing up liquid, cleaning equipment, washing machine. Lovely Penelope our host kindly left us a bowl of fruit, bottle of wine, ice cream . We regularly had Mangoes of her tree for breakfast which were gorgeous and she even sent us home with a bag full. The garden is peaceful, well maintained with beautiful planting of shrubs and flowers. There are nice shaded areas to lounge or sit. Beautiful views of the sea and mountains. We were able to easily get around La Gomera on the local buses. The bus station and the ferry are all within walking distance. Lots of lovely restaurants nearby. We certainly plan to return to this lovely place.

Negative: Absolutely nothing. We even enjoyed the short walk up the hill and steps from the centre of San Sebastián.

Summary: Very highly recommended. I was sad to leave this well cared for home.

Positive: The house is located high up from from the main streets of San Sebastian, but it is easy to reach the town and port by means of a series of steep stairs (less than 10 mins on foot). Great views from the lovely, well-tended garden and terrace. Location is quiet and peaceful. House is very comfortable, spacious and well-equipped. It has recently been completely renovated to a very high standard, with a good modern bathroom and nice kitchen. Everything works well. The owners live in the adjoining property and are very kind and helpful. We also enjoyed the company of their cat and tortoise!

Negative: Nearest supermarket is down below in the town. This wasn't a problem for us as we used our hire car to do our main food shopping, but if you don't have a car, be prepared to carry shopping up the stairs. Overall, we feel it is still much better to be staying higher up in the town where Rose's House is located than down below, due to the views and tranquility. Life is about compromises!

Summary: Excellent, good value place to stay in San Sebastian. We would definitely choose it again!

Positive: This wee place had everything we needed. Accommodation was perfect and we had use of the lovely garden overlooking the town. It also had an outdoor shower which was fantastic after a day of hiking!
