Positive: Location is good for a 2-3 nights. There is an excellent restaurant within walking distance of the Riad called Daniele Cacciuolo (chef and excellent). The beach was very good and the water was exceptional. Loved it. Fed the feral cats too.

Negative: The area around the Riad is just okay. I would recommend no more than 2 -3 nights. We did not see the town above.

Positive: This is a beautiful, modern and well equipped apartment. Located ocean front with unobstructed views for 180° from the Port in the south to the Hedland in the North. The apartment is fully air-conditioned and all windows and doors to spacious balconies are double glazed for sound and heat reduction. The old town is within 10 minutes walk and beautiful clean swimming beaches 2 minutes walk away. There is also a wonderful, must visit marintine museum within walking distance from the apartment. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes within a short walk. When we stayed there was even a local food van in the parking lot right near and judged by how many locals frequently attended it must be good even though we did not participate. We cooked for ourselves in the well equipped kitchen with food purchased from a well stocked and very friendly mini market. Our host "Angelo" was so helpful with advice on places to visit and things to see in Gela. Angelo also picked us up and dropped us off at the Station. Value for money given what is provided.. Sitting on the balcony in the late afternoon watching the locals come and go and the beautiful sunsets were a favourite pass time of ours during our stay. We personally recommend you stay here a while.

Negative: Nothing to dislike other than wished we could have stayed longer.
