Welcome to lake life! Our cottage has 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The large living area has an open floor plan which is great for entertaining and being with family and friends. The kitchen is fully appointed with stainless steel appliances, dishes, and cookware for any occasion. The main living area looks out over the beautiful lake. There is a large leather couch and recliner plus streaming TV and Wifi. A large balcony off of the living room provides a perfect place for morning coffee or relaxing any time of the day in the cozy rocking chairs. One level down is the open deck area with patio table, gas grill, and lounge chairs. This area is large enough for your entire group to congregate in comfort. You will also have access on this level to the basement which houses an extra refrigerator, game room, and laundry facilities. The private dock area is a few flights of stairs down from the deck area. Each flight offers a landing for viewing the lake while taking advantage of the well placed seats and benches. At the dock, you will find 2 separate areas for swimming and fishing. Two kayaks and a paddle boat with life jackets are available for your use (signed liability waiver required) at no extra charge. This is a private lake so no other boats are allowed. For evenings, we have a fire pit for everyone to enjoy an evening campfire. We are within a half hour drive from beautiful Brown County State Park and the unique eclectic town of Nashville, Indiana. Downtown Franklin IN is 20 minutes away and has some great craft beer breweries. If you're looking for an urban day trip, we are one hour from downtown Indianapolis including the Indianapolis Zoo, Monument Circle, and the world renowned Children's Museum. If you prefer, you can also catch a game at IU Bloomington an hour south. Looking for a day of shopping? The Edinburgh Outlet Mall is less than 30 minutes away as well. So many activities to chose from which are all on site or a short drive: swimming, fishing, kayaking, paddle boating, hiking, shopping, eating out, and barbecuing! Perfect for a long term stay for work or family. Plenty of room for friends and family with beds for 6 people and one extra twin mattress for a little extra room.

Summary: This place is totally the best vacation rental property we have ever stayed in. Plus Sharon was a wonderful host with instant responses to a few questions. Never had any issues/problems with the house..... Enjoyed the lake, the area and the weather (we were from Arizona). In fact, we were so impressed with the area, we purchased a new house in the area and will be moving to the area in the beginning of 2024.

Summary: We booked this lake house for my 35 th birthday with our kids. We arrived on a Friday night and slept completely. Sat was great ! We kayaked and the kids tried all three boats and had a blast. Unfortunately the weather was not on our side and the county was hit with a small tornado and straight line winds knocking out the power. We drive into brown county for dinner but also the power was out!!! Scary. The owner was great with communicating with me as our service was scarce after that. We stayed sat night hoping the power would be back by morning but it was not . :( I informed the owner That our food was going bad and we had to depart early . She was extremely understanding and generated a partial refund . Honestly we had so much fun from 9:00 am - 4:00 on that one day to last a life time . Our kids tried new things and are still talking about it. We loved the lake , the house and the feels ! Thank you for the small details such as a pack and play and extra pillows abs blankets . We hope to be back soon as this was our fav stay in indiana!!!

Summary: The house, the view, and the host absolutely perfect. This was the first vacation my husband and and I have taken alone in 12 years. It was so peaceful and relaxing. Everything was wonderful. The house so cozy and inviting. We loved it was right on the water and no matter were you sat there was a great view. There were so many things to do near by but we mostly stayed and enjoyed the house. We plan on renting the house again during the summer to enjoy the lake more.
