Positive: Lovely, pretty location and a stylish room with everything we needed. Easy to get into the centre of Amsterdam on the tram. Friendly and helpful hosts.

Negative: It was small for four of us, but we knew that in advance and it was much cheaper for us than 2 rooms at a hotel.

Positive: We had the happiest stay here! The highlight was the little red canoe. Marjolein is such a wonderful host, she received us warmly, kept checking the forecast for us and had the canoe ready after the rain. Drifting along the canal the three of us with our 3-year-old son felt so magical! The apartment itself was spotless, cozy, warm, had everything we needed, and not to forget the mesmerizing canal view we woke up to every day. The tram stop leading to the downtown and the supermarkets were super close, 3-minute walk. Really good choice for a family. Honestly, we never wanted to leave!

Positive: We loved how easy it was to get to the Central station (tram 26 is a 2 minute walk from the apartment and it's 14 minutes on the tramto the Central station). There were also a number of shops a 3 minute walk away and on Saturday there was a little market selling food. Marjolein was a great hostess, very responsive and very helpful. She told us about takeaway options, sent us links to attractions and public transport options , and her directions from the airport to the Central station and to the house were very easy to follow. The house really is an oasis, it's so quiet and peaceful and the view over the reeds and canal are just lovely. There was also a canoe we could have used, but we ran out of time...

Negative: Below are just observations and tips for future travellers - there is nothing we didn't like and the room was as described. We didn't remember that there was no cooker or oven, but this is noted in the description, so totally our oversight. That meant eating out for dinner three times, but wasn't a huge problem - might be worse if someone was staying a week or longer. There is a large set of French doors, which means there is no real option to keep a window open at night time or during the day when you're out. Again, not an issue for us, but might be problematic if someone was staying during the summer. The room was perfect for the two of us, but I think would be a bit cramped if there were three or more people staying (open plan, I.e., no separate bedroom). These are just observations and by no means negatives. We would definitely stay here again.

Positive: The location was perfect for our needs. Easy tram, quiet neighborly vibe. Laying on the bed made you feel like you were in a jungle because of the lovely garden the hosts have created.

Negative: Nothing.

Positive: Nice view on the canal, is possible to swimm. Very quiet locality. Two supermarkets are not so long from the apartment. There we have everything, what we need. Very kindly neighbour Diane. She was amazing and helpful. She gives us a present, when we have department. I recommend this for all visitors. The tram 26 go there from Centraal Station.The way is cca 15min.

Positive: Beautiful setting looking out over the canal. Very quiet. Has a nice deck and outdoor seating area. Nice shower, comfortable bed. The proximity to public transportation is great. But most of all, the hosts were amazing. They made us dinner twice, did our laundry and offered to take us on a boat tour. Wonderful people!!
