Bella Vista Cottage, 2,000 sq ft, was designed and built by the owners with the help a local Fredericksburg architect. The house is meant to be a weekend getaway home to relax and unwind from the hectic stress of city life.
The exterior design of Bella Vista contains architectural elements of the local German farm houses, Victorian style cottages and American Prairie architecture melded into a unique, inviting modern approach. The owner's dedication to Bella Vista shines throughout all areas of the house -- from its individualized room decorations, the handmade glass tiles, hand hewn floors and beams and custom pendant lamps in the kitchen. The beautiful and scenic views offered from the front and back covered porches enhance the tranquility.
Staying at the Bella Vista Cottage is a truly luxurious, memorable, romantic and fun experience. The owners pride themselves on taking excellent care of their guests making them feel at home from the first moment they step into Bella Vista.
We offer the following options:
1 or 2 people — $250 weekends/night (One Bedroom)
2, 3 or 4 people–$350 weekends/night (Two Bedrooms)

Summary: I don’t think I have felt more at home than at this Vrbo property. The number one reason: it is CLEAN, even down to my pet peeve, baseboards. The house is maintained as if the owners lived there. It is quiet, comfortable and relaxing. The kitchen has top quality clean cookware and has any gadget needed. The kolaches, fruit, OJ, wine, candy, bathrobes, and fresh flowers were above and beyond. We felt very pampered. We loved staying here. We definitely would recommend this home.

Summary: I cannot tell you what a beautiful place this is in words... you just need to experience it. The hosts really spent a lot of time thinking about the experience of their home... everything from a well-stocked kitchen to bowls of candy and chocolate. The grounds are GORGEOUS and the house is spotless. We booked the house so we could spend some time in Fredericksburg; however, next time I want to book this house just to stay at the house and enjoy all the wildlife!

Summary: This was our second stay and it was just as perfect as the 1st. We love the beauty of not only the home itself, but the property, the location and the wildlife. The hosts are so easy to communicate with and all the extras they provide are very thoughtful. This is our favorite stay! We hope to return soon!

Summary: Kevin and Joanna's home is one of the best we have stayed in while traveling across the US. Peaceful location on 55 acres with magnificent sunsets off the back porch. We enjoyed the hospitality- a bottle of local wine, kolashes, OJ, and chocolates. Kitchen is very well stocked and laid out well for cooking. The wildlife (deer, armadillos, fox, and many birds) along with the neighbor cats and donkeys were welcome visitors. The jetted tub and steam shower made the home spa-like. We would stay here everytime we are in the area. The hosts are warm, welcoming, and very gracious.

Summary: We had a wonderful stay! The place was beautiful and equipped with everything we could possibly need! The view was absolutely breathtaking! Watching the deer in the morning was so serene. We had planned on having dinner in Fredericksburg but enjoyed our stay so much we decided to dine in, relax and just enjoy a time of reflection, especially this time of year! The beautifully decorated Christmas tree added an extra touch of warmth. Thank you and Merry Christmas 🌲

Summary: Bella Vista is simply amazing. It was our second stay at this lovely property, and we will definitely return. Summary: Anniversary trip with friends and we couldn’t have picked a better place. It is secluded enough to feel like you’re alone with your group, but close enough to town to be convenient. We almost didn’t want to leave long enough to take in our activities. Highly recommend it.
