Summary: The chalet was very nice, clean, well equipped, and comfortable. We greatly appreciated the in-room washer and dryer! Note* the dryer does get VERY hot on cotton/regular mode. We tried out the hot tubs too-very nice!

Summary: We stayed at Rocky Mountain Chalets over Easter and spent a few days on the mountain bike tracks. It was an excellent place to stay, super close to Ohakune town with easy access to excellent cafes and restaurants. I would recommend it ans a great place to stay at any time of year.

Summary: Stayed a couple of nights to complete the Crossing. Just on the outskirts of town, within easy walking to shops, cafes and restaurants. Units were exactly what we needed for two couples for a short stay. Enjoyed a spa as part of the recovery from a big day up the mountain.

Summary: We were arriving late so a quick call to arrange late check in was easy. We stayed 3 nights in total with a 4 day trip away in between nights which was made so easy by the owner to allow us the same chalet for each night. Easy walk to town and we did drive some nights. Very quiet and rooms very clean. Everything we needed including a hot spa and sauna . Thank you!

Summary: Super friendly and helpful gentleman in the office at check in. We are traveling from Auckland to Queenstown and chose this overnight stay for its kitchenette as we prefer cooking to eating in restaurants. We were limited to dinner choices as we could only locate one smallish pot. A couple of little glitches…1. When I pushed the stove vent button to turn off the light, both vent covers fell onto the stove top. They were pretty oily and I couldn’t get them back into place; 2. The dryer would not work unless you held the door in place. My husband eventually figured out that the low contact was loose and we used a kitchen utensil to wedge it in place; and 3. The beds were not very comfortable as we also saw noted in the guest book. Overall we found the chalet very clean. I always like to mention great showers and this was exceptional. Recommend this stay but be sure to bring your own shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. As a general note, we have had to “air out” 2 of the 4 vrbo’s we have stayed at so far due to an excessive amount of scented sprays or scented diffusers.
