Positive: Comfortable spacious room and bad with many different common areas so easy to have privacy and enjoy even if the weather is bad. The chef and assistant were amazing - real Sri Lankan hospitality.

Negative: The contact with the owner was not as warm as we were used to in Sri Lanka. No help or suggestions about what to do around the area. Quite difficult to get to if only going for one night. Cottage needs some maintenance especially the bathroom. A bit expensive compared to what we have experienced elsewhere in the country.

Summary: Comfortable but a little overpriced

Positive: This is one of the most unique stays I have had on all my travels. It is an old bungalow set on a tea plantation out in the jungle forest about 40min TukTuk ride away from Galaha. The room was lovely with a big comfy bed. Really hot water in shower. There was a TV room with reclining couches to relax in! And not to mention the infinity pool and outdoor jacuzzi. A delicious dinner of rice and curry was prepared along with a lovely omelette for breakfast. They even have a basic gym with excellent weights in it! I arrived in Galaha after completing the Pekoe Trail Stage 1 Hike and needed a place to stay. Deepthi the owner was amazing and helped to arrange a TukTuk out to Rockbourne Bungalow. It was the perfect place to relax and recharge to walk back the way of Stage 1 to Halantha the following day.. If anyone in Kandy is interested in the Pekoe Trail this bungalow is a gem to rest up for a night.

Negative: Coming off the Pekoe Trail the TukTuk ride from Galaha is a bit long BUT the views are stunning en route and it is completely worth it for such a unique and lovely place to stay

Positive: Super place for chill and relax. Splendid garden and view on the tea field. The luxurious Bungalow is comfortable and we feel at home really fast ! The staff is super : they are friendly, super efficient, and they provide good tips for activities around there.

Positive: The view was stunning which was unexpected...the services and facilities was very nice including swimming pool and the tub..My wife and kid enjoyed the fullest ....Best part was the staff was exceptional helpful ....food was nice and tasty , they offered variety...the owner has arranged everything upfront which was nice too...would recommend 😀 😉 👍 👌 😊 😄 😀 to all....

Positive: This place is an absolute gem. If you want to have a private and cosy relax time this is the place to be. Rockbourne Bungalow is a beautiful place with gorgeous rooms and fabulous service. Staff was amazing, so friendly, welcoming and helpful. The food is delicious. This is a very special place and we highly recommend it as a base for visiting. We had a memorable stay!!

Positive: It was the best service I' ve ever had from the hotel!!!Everything was excellent. The place itself is amazing. The room was clean, our dinner delicious and the atmosphere was exceptional. I wish I could spend there more than one night. I am going to keep this place in my heart forever❤️
