Positive: Rock and Mist is far away from town only reachable by private transport. But, absolutely quiet and closer to the nature. Room and toilet is clean and spacious with a lovely balcony overseeing the mountains.

Negative: The property owner demanded to pay an extra 300 rupees, initially said for GST, then later told us is commission for booking.com. When we insisted, this is not possible. GST is already included in the bookings. And we are not supposed to pay the commission. We called booking.com to sort out this confusion. At the end of the day, the owner agrees n told us is settled. Hence, if u are booking through online, please read carefully what's in your booking. Any confusion, call them to sort out.

Positive: Close to Chokramudi trekking point which is the main reason I stayed in this area. Room was big and spacious, comfortable, good bed and amazing view from the balcony.

Negative: Owners were loud till 11/12am at night having a bonfire. Did not notify me and no concern for volume levels for guests. I came to Munnar for peace and quiet, and got shouting all evening. Clunky check in service. There was no one around. Thankfully a nice tuk tuk driver was nearby and helped me call the number for someone to come and check me in. No reception or restaurant and being in a more remote part of Munnar this was inconvenient. Didn’t feel totally safe for female solo traveller given the remote area and lack of staff available. I guess it’s more like a serviced apartment than a hotel.
