Positive: Location is very quiet and relaxing. It's close to the main road so very short amount of travel on dirt road. The hosts were wonderful and communication was prompt. The fenced-in chalet allowed us to leave our door open so our dog could move in and out without issues. The Fireplace was a life saver the first night that we arrived as it was FREEZING. Wood was provided at no extra charge.

Negative: We didn't realise that there were stairs. The stairs were a little higher than normal so going up and down them was uncomfortable for us. This wouldn't be a problem for younger, more active people, but we are professional couch potatoes, so the stairs was an unexpected surprise.

Summary: Tranquil, centrally located base camp to explore the midlands from.

Positive: Cobblers cottage was fabulous and had everything needed for a comfortable stay. Loved the fireplace in the lounge and the verandah area. Rooms and beds very comfortable and nice big bathroom with both shower and bath.

Negative: A few more coat hangers in the closet needed.

Summary: Comfortable, beautiful and value for money.

Positive: Such a wide range of experiences in a relatively small area . 2 welcoming Jack Russels, lovely fuzzy young cattle and buck in the field as you walk to the river. Some sheep and donkeys in another field.
