The quaint Washougal is 12 miles away; it's often seen as the "Gateway to the Gorge" as it's right at the entrance to this scenic wonderland and a 31-mile drive to popular Gorge attractions like Multnomah Falls, Cascade Locks, and Bonneville Dam. In Washougal, a walk through the Steigerwald Lake National Wildlife Refuge is a joy for both hikers and bird watchers, as the refuge is home to over 200 species of birds.

Summary: The cabin was very cute and comfortable. Very clean and well taken care of. Wish there had been river access but knew ahead of time that there was none. No big deal! Could see it from the deck and even better we could hear it, such a peaceful sound. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Summary: I wanted to stop the world and enjoy two novels I've been dying to read, and this place was perfect for doing this -- I loved the view of the river, which included many passing bald eagles! There were deer in the yard in the mornings, too. I hope this place is still available this fall and I'll absolutely come back.

Summary: My GF and I love to travel, we target outdoorsy locations and this was a gem. Brett was quick to respond and get us booked. The cleanliness was welcoming after a long road trip. We loved the view from the back porch, the setup seemed well maintained and safe. Jumping in the Jacuzzi with a cold beer while outdoors listening to the river was the highlight of our stay.

Summary: I could watch and listen to the Washougal River all day. The deck and jacuzzi provided a great spot to do just that, and included multiple eagle sightings. The interior space was cozy and inviting, and allowed just the kind of getaway we needed. I have told our work colleagues about this spot, and definitely intend to try to return next year!

Summary: This is an upscale adorable cabin that’s right on the Washougal River! It’s a great spot to retreat and relax and it’s still close to a ton of fun adventures. There’s a waterfall just up the street that you can hike around and towns close by to enjoy! We had a fantastic time and we will definitely be back to visit soon! It was perfect for our small family including grandma who slept on their luxurious transforming couch. I don’t think I’ve slept this good in years! if you’re looking for a retreat to get some R&R this is where it’s at!
