The River Nest is an apartment next to our Farmhouse. We are located in Nevada County 6/10 of a mile from Highway 49. The Gregory Estate is on 5 acres. Enjoy the sounds of the River and wildlife. The view of brilliant sunrises and sunsets is spectacular on a bend of the Bear River. No other homes are visible, except for a 6 million dollar Estate down the river, up on the hill. The terrain in the foothills, at 1,300 feet, is mostly a variety of oak, pine, and cedar trees. There is a great horned owl that whoots at night. Wild turkeys, Canadian geese, Heron, mergansers, ducks, deer, and raccoons are spotted regularly. There is river access.

Summary: 1st time using VRBO. Friendly hosts. Best stocked kitchen we’ve ever had. Can’t beat the view over looking the Bear River. Great secluded location between Grass Valley and Auburn. We look forward to visiting again!
