Positive: The place is large, sufficient for a family with a need to cook. The hosts are amazing people, looking after us at all times. Beginners surfing beach - Dodanduwa beach - is just across the road! Big plus. And fish market directly next to it, fresh fish TWICE a day, from fish to calamari, prawns…One can use the large kitchen to cook easily. If anything missing, Nadee and family, always ready to help.
Summary: Great for families - short or long term.

Positive: Great location and very warm, friendly hosts. The rooms are spacious, and the kitchenette has everything you need. It feels more like staying at home than in a typical short term accommodation.
Negative: Mosquitoes were a minor issue, but apart from that, everything was perfectly fine. Just make sure to have a mosquito repellent, especially in the evenings.
Summary: Ideal for slow travelers seeking peace, greenery, village life, fishing spots and a crowd free beach and quiet, walkable

Positive: Well equipped kitchen. Close proximity to fish market, shops, and most of all Dodanduwa beach, which is the spot for all learning surfers in the area of Hikkaduwa. Both for kids and adults. Bigger than we needed. The local beach is actually the one with few or no currents. All we asked for was helped by the hosts quickly.
Negative: We liked everything.
Summary: Great for family stay, local beach is actually with no currents, safe for children with amazing hosts.
