Positive: The staff were exceptional, particularly the amazing Isis and Jess in RIU land kids club - our daughter fell in love with them and we greatly appreciated the care and affection they showed her. Facilities are excellent, everything is exceptionally clean. The food was also well above our expectations- very good. The bar staff are great, and the staff around the pool areas are brilliant at keeping everyone fit and entertained.

Negative: The only criticism I have is that the gym is a bit small and has outdated equipment

Summary: Absolutely brilliant and we would definitely return, albeit it’s a long way from Australia!

Positive: Food was good. There were many choices and restaurants. All the hotel are and eating area was comfortable and nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. Also was beautiful beach area.

Positive: the beach access was great. good pools and children were not permitted in the bar pool. very clean and well maintained. upon arrival preferred a different room location and was granted that without issue.

Negative: although the food was very fresh and a very large variety it often times lacked seasoning .

Positive: The food was excellent, except for the desserts, which leave much to be desired—except for the fruit, which is the only dessert worth eating. The staff and entertainers were very friendly.

Negative: The facilities are good, but the ceramic floor makes it slippery. I don't understand why they use slippery tiles only to put up cones later warning you about the risk of slipping. I had to change rooms because the bed wasn't a king/queen; it was two beds pushed together. They gave us another room where the air conditioning couldn't keep up (I set it to 18°C and was still hot). The fan made noise at first, and one day I even found a cockroach wandering around after my Girlfriend woke me up screaming at 3 AM.

Summary: The stay was good overall, but I feel there is a serious lack of maintenance for a 5-star hotel.

Positive: Mid-Size all inclusive resort , conveniently located on the outskirts of Playa del Carmen. Clean and very friendly staff. Service was perfect. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed ourselves.

Negative: The only negative point I can think of is that the staff should be a bit more restrictive in allowing people that are not properly dressed (e.g. only swimshort / slippers) to visit the bar in the main building

Summary: We made the right choice!
