Positive: Lovely romantic little cottage. We had intended to stay in a B&B, but then saw this house on the website, and went for thar, since we anticipated it being more quiet, relaxing and having more room. Well, it was absolutely lovely; far exceeding expectations, and the host was extremely helpful. We will definitely stay there again, and I'd already recommended it to others, even before the host messaged me to check everything was OK.

Positive: The location is absolutely perfect, just on the edge of Sheffield, walking distance to the pub and the peaks. You can walk to Higger Tor and more, made for a great escape whilst visiting family in the city. Everything you need is there, full kitchen etc.

Negative: It is quite expensive for what you get. It's actually a very basic set up with lower quality bedding and an electric shower so it's not the most comfortable. The kitchen is a bit chaotic too with approximately 100 pieces of cutlery and far too much of some things, but limited on decent size mugs etc. It's a shame that the bedroom windows look straight onto the bins and there is a strong damp/musty smell too. A little bit of effort could make it a great place, but for me it was below expectations. I also found the communication unprofessional as I hadn't had any checkin details at all the morning off and was contacted via Whatsapp to share my passport photo etc. - This shouldn't be happening.

Summary: Great location, suited our needs.

Positive: Location, size of property, cooking facilities, close proximity of parking, disability friendly, warm and cosy place, clean & tidy, plenty of towels, reasonably quiet, friendly owner with excellent communication, handy pub round corner for meal, exactly the same high standards as last time.

Negative: Nothing.

Summary: Excellent property located on the edge of the Peak District and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
