Positive: Location, facilities, and host. When arriving, don't look for a name. This is a private home ,so there is no sign outside. As you enter the building, you will see the garden in front. Your room will be to the right. To the left, a nice living room/ library . From this room you can step inside a spacious eat- in kitchen.. The living and kitchen are shared spaces with the host, but she gives you plenty of privacy unless you need her. When I booked, I was a bit concerned about the room size since there were 2 beds and other furniture, but the room was very spacious and easy to move around. My partner walks with a cane, so this is important to us. The very tall ceiling also enhances the roominess. Good size shower stall. No cramped space here. There is not a wardrobe. You have a stand coat rack where you can place your jammies and the current cloting. The host will give you a few angers if needed. Not an issue for us. At the foot of the bed, there was a sturdy bench where we placed and opened our luggage. Plenty outlets to charge you electronics. A comfy chair to sit and ck your emails. The air conditioning worked well. The room is on the street side, but you will not hear noises. Very quiet. Beds comfortable, plenty pillows. Outside the room, there is a garden dining table for eating or reading al fresco. Both the living and kitchen are equipped with air conditioning units and can be turned on if needed. There is good air circulation, so it is normally not necessary. I did not cook much, except for boiling some eggs and prep salads, but the kitchen is well equipped. The place is in good shape for an old house, but do not expect perfection. Very homy and comfortable. No luxury here. The host Geraldine is definitely a superhost. We have traveled quite a bit, and she is one the best. You can feel confident she will help anyway she can. The location is great. A short walk to the sites, restaurants, and river shore, yet a quiet area.

Negative: Nothing would stop me from returning.
