Positive: Ruwan is the friendliest, most helpful and interested host we have met during our entire trip. Took great care of our 8-month old baby. Truly unbelievable hospitality. The room was better than we had hoped; the giant east-facing glass wall permits awesome sun rise viewing from your bed. Thank you thank you!

Positive: We had a lovely time with our very welcoming and accommodating host. He gave us a wonderful tour of the area and his incredible gardens. The view was fantastic, there was an abundance of bird life and the meals (dinner and breakfast) were fresh and flavourful. The room was clean and comfortable.

Negative: We wanted to stay another night but he was booked! We will have to return!

Positive: Ruwan was an amazing host! He went above and beyond to make our stay perfect! Whether it was picking us up from the bus station, helping us to organise our day trips or cooking amazing breakfast or dinner with veggies from the own garden, he was always there for us, but also knew when to give us time for ourselves. The property itself is amazing, you have the best view over the rice fields and can watch the birds all day long from the balcony. Also Ruwan gave us tipps for some secret spots around the village which were super nice! The location is also a lot more central than we first thought, as it’s directly on the route between Kandy and Dambulla, so you can reach the surrounding sights quicker than when staying in Sigiriya. We even stayed one night longer than planned as we liked it so much. Thanks again for everything, Ruwan!!!

Positive: Ruwan is the best host we had during our holiday in Sri Lanka. His family are really good cooks, everyday you eat something different and delicious. He learned us a lot about Sri Lanka and the people and is always happy to help you plan for the best activities around his area. He has the best tips! The rooms are clean, the bed is nice and you have an amazing view over the ricefields. When you wake up you can enjoy that beautiful view from your bed. Its a very nice and quiet area to walk around and enjoy the nature. I would recommend his stay to everyone! It was perfect. Thank you so much Ruwan and we will miss you! Bohoma sthuthi

Positive: In one word, amazing! After we made the booking the owner immediately reached out to us to give us advice and practical information. He arranged transportation from the airport to his house. When he arrived he was waiting for us. The room is comfortable and the view stunning! He prepared us twice a delicious Sri Lankese diner and the breakfast on the balcony was amazing too. The quiet, the nature, the view and the hospitality, it was all a big 10 out of 10! If we visit Sri Lanka in the future we will definitely stay again at Ridge Boundary View.

Positive: Staying at Ruwan and his family’s homestay south of Dambulla was wonderful. We felt so warmly welcomed from the start, like being invited into their home. The room was spacious, clean and tastefully designed without being cluttered (also appreciate the thoughtful storage racks and space for our stuff!). Waking up to sunrise over the mountains with birds chirping was magic. We loved being surrounded by nature - morning walks spotting monkeys, fruit trees and birds right outside - yet it was only a short ride into the city and nearby sites. It's a great base for exploring key attractions. Breakfast and dinner (optional) were excellent every day, made with produce from their own farm, so we really got local cuisine. We booked 3 nights but ended up staying 8, because we simply didn’t want to leave. 11 out of 10 stars for Ruwan and family - we couldn’t recommend their homestay more!

Positive: Ruwan is an amazing host. This place is one of the top experiences we have done in Sri Lanka. We did the tour of the farm and we chat with Ruwan for hours. He explained us so many things about Sri Lanka and his farm. Also dinner was one of the best we had during our 2 weeks.

Positive: The stunning view, the peaceful location and kind host. We had an amazing dinner and the next morning the host took us on a tour through the property and explained about living, plants, harvest at the country site. One of the highlights of our month in Sri Lanka. Our teenagers loved it and wanted to stay longer, so hopefully we will come back some day!
