Positive: We stayed 5 nights at Rickys (RBH) and really enjoyed our stay. It takes a bit of time to get there from Padang, but it’s absolutely worth it (and they can help arrange transportation). RBH is not a typical hotel, but a guesthouse that also serves as a base for volunteer work. It gives the place a cozy atmosphere! We took the boat trip around the islands and snorkeled from the pier. The food was delicious and the staff were really sweet! Definitely a place worth recommending if you have a few days in Padang!

Positive: Location, staff, vibe. The whole staff will give you an unforgettable experience. Very recommend all tours and activities available on offers, surfing, trekking, visiting islands, fishing trips and even baby turtles cleaning treatment, lovely Authentic fisherman’s village around the Ricky beach a must se.
Negative: Food available can be improved, but the local snacks on the bar corner are truly a symphony for your palate, freshly prepared every day from local mama from the village. Either sweet or savory delicacies available

Positive: Ricky’s beach house has a great location! It’s away from the busyness and noise of the city on a quiet, beautiful beach. The staff were great! They were friendly, helpful and accomodating. Food was delicious and the live music at night was a bonus- just bring ear plugs if you like an early night! There’s great options for day trips- I loved the boat trip to the island, including snorkelling, snacks and lunch! The projects attached to the accommodation are super interesting and seem to be really making a difference for the community. Great job guys!

Positive: The staff were wonderful and so attentive. Friendly and accommodating. Was made to feel very welcome. Beautiful scenery and beaches to ourselves.
Negative: On the first night, some guests had a party and the noise was very loud. We couldn’t sleep and had to ask them to stop at 4am. One night there was a monsoon, there were leaks in our rooms and our luggage got wet.
