Positive: The building is beautiful and the position is great, walking distance from all main sites and great base for daily trips to Jebel Akhdar and Shams. Zita was a great host, always checked in, made sure we had everything we needed. She also gave us great recommendations, including visiting the Oman Across Ages Museum which turned out to be a must visit in Oman.

Positive: Excellent welcoming, we felt at home. Rooms are small but well maintained. Location is perfect for visiting downtown. Breakfast outside of the property, appreciated.

Positive: The hotel has a great location with a pool to cool of in the heat of the day. There are some tables around the pool were you can relax and enjoy some dates or omani coffee. I really enjoyed the atmosphere (nice decorations, chill out places)! The staff was extremely welcoming and took the time to share insights about Oman and the local culture, making sure all our questions were answered :D The served breakfast was very tasty.

Negative: The bathroom could use a little bit of renovation but everything worked!

Summary: Great stay in the centre of Nizwa for a good price!

Positive: The place is set among date palms and other beautiful greenery. There is a clear effort to ensure the place is kept beautiful with plants and the general charm of the old town of Nizwa. The location is great, the host, Zita was wonderful and everything about my stay was great. I do recommend Riad Nizwa to anyone.

Negative: A little difficult to locate, I'd recommend a sign or two extra if possible. Also, the parking situation is not so easy so I recommend you park in the main parking area of the Souq and walk to Riad Nizwa. It is not far and it is VERY safe. The shower head could be adjusted to not spray over the whole bathroom.
