Positive: The location is perfect, and we had a wonderful authentic experience and amazing hospitality from Mohammed. He helped with everything from taxi's, and tours, to even providing a WhatsApp message for the drivers in Arabic to assist our arrival. Please stay here, you wont regret it, you wont find any better.

Positive: The host was very friendly and helpful. They arranged a wonderful driver to take us around the outside of the city to see all of the sites and views. We also had a wonderful home cooked meal at the Riad which was a highlight.

Positive: The host Mohamed warmly greeted us with a warming cup of tea. He then went through a map of the Medina, including what to see, where to eat, and where not to go inside the Medina. He helped organize tours and transport. The rooms are comfy and warm. The shower is hot. Rooms serviced daily. Breakfast is filling and tasty. The meal we had at the Riad was superb and cooked with love by mum. Mohamed even arranged for us to get the washing done. We can't wait until we can return and spend more time in this Riad.

Positive: I had an amazing experience at Riad La Mentha from the very start. They reached out before our arrival to confirm our arrival time and even sent us a Google Maps link so we could easily find the riad inside the Medina. They also sent a voice message in Arabic for our taxi driver, which made getting there completely effortless. Mohammed the general manager and host met us at the drop-off point and guided us through the Medina to the riad. The moment we walked in, we were made to feel at home. He welcomed us with mint tea and delicious homemade cookies, and took the time to explain what to expect in Fez, reviewed the Medina map with us, and help us arrange excursions. Mohammed was like a concierge, a host, a general manager, and the owner all in one truly exceptional. The kindness, generosity, and genuine care we experienced at this riad were unbelievable. Staying at Riad La Metha felt like being welcomed into someone’s home, warm, safe, and cared for. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Fez.

Positive: The property is at a great location, near the Medina but quiet enough for a good night’s sleep. The Riad is well decorated, very clean, and service is excellent! Our host, Mohamed, really took care of us, always making sure we were okay and felt welcome in the riad and in Fes. His concern for us was very genuine and warm, and we appreciated it.

Negative: We would have preferred to have a shower curtain / separation between the shower and toilet but they said they’re working on it! :)

Positive: The breakfast was fantastic, and we appreciated the daily cleaning service! It was super easy to catch the airport shuttle to the edge of the Medina and then we were met by Mohamad for the short walk to the Riad. We had a late flight (arrived at midnight) so he waited up for us to arrive. Huge thanks!!

Positive: From the moment I arrived, Mohamed made me feel at home with tea, biscuits, and a warm welcome. He’s exceptionally kind, trustworthy, and intelligent — anticipating every need before you ask. The Riad is stunning, peaceful, and beautifully decorated in traditional Moroccan style. My room was spotless, with a very comfortable bed and pillow, hot shower, and all amenities. After 10 p.m. it’s completely quiet until morning. Generous brekfast served on the stunning terrace overlooking the Medina. I loved the authentic experiences Mohamed arranged — visiting artisans, tennery, ceramics & women’s coop and a working loom with veg silk. Dinner cooked by his mother was fresh, healthy, and full of love. A truly unforgettable stay — I’ll definitely return!

Negative: nothing, it was all great. Personally, I would make an even better use of the roof terrace and perhaps dedicate an area to relax, massage, and yoga with music and incense.
