Positive: It has a beautiful river view. Even though it’s by the train track, it was incredibly quiet. It had a self check in which was pretty nice. Just grabbed your keys and head up to the room.
Negative: You could hear every footstep from the other rooms. But it’s an old house so that’s to be expected. But really nothing to complain about 😁

Positive: Beautiful view of the river and mountains. October colors were amazing. Very comfortable and spacious room. Lovely soaking tub and roomy shower. Boutique feel with a vintage vibe, very befitting for the area. Convenient parking.
Negative: Must be able to navigate stairs with luggage. No elevator. Would have been nice to have a larger table between armchairs, thicker linens and in room fridge/coffee station.
Summary: We enjoyed our stay.

Positive: Very special place, authentic historic building and atmosphere, far from the ordinary, reminded me of my childhood. Awesome proximity to and view of the Hudson river. Hosts kept us well informed about self check-in and were frank about the temporarily limited service due to ongoing renovation, no real inconvenience, though.
Negative: Nothing, the bypassing trains didn´t bother us at all but contributed to the unique atmosphere, excellent breakfast locations available two miles up the road. Or right across the street.
Summary: we were staying one night only (unfortunately), but will be back for more!

Positive: We spent 2 nights that this truly unique, work in progress hotel and can't wait to go back! It's a work in progress and it's going to be fun to see its progress in the next year or so. The location is breathtaking with a view of the Catskills and the Hudson River. Currently there are 9 rooms and no other facilities, but the restoration is well under way. There is a superb restaurant across the street and a charming bakery up the street. It's quiet, even with the train coming through a few times a day. It's also only 6 minutes from Rhinebeck.
Negative: A few quirks. The shower is small and the AC blows directly on to the bed making it difficult to skeep
Summary: A charming work in progress

Positive: What a treasure this place is! Our hosts left us a welcome note hinting at this 1854 landmark’s at-times complicated history, but what we encountered on arrival was the best of all worlds: A soaring space that seemed grounded in history but with an impressive variety of modern and high-end updates. The bathroom was immaculate, and the bed was a plush fortress that made it easy to fall asleep. We enjoyed coffee on our full balcony with spectacular views of the Hudson. This was a memorable experience for all the right reasons, and we wish the Rhinecliff Hotel a long and bright future.
Negative: It would have helped to have access to a mini-fridge, but that’s a minor quibble
Summary: Charming hotel, spectacular views of the Hudson and spacious rooms. 10/10
