Summary: The property was immaculate. Well designed, maintained and beautiful. The staff was friendly, ultra respectful, vigilant, extra attention to detail, and do their absolute best. The food was fresh and delicious. Everything was made fresh, including if you asked for a glass of juice. They will literally squeeze the fruit into juice for you to drink. This property was everything and more.

Summary: Renaissance Phuket is a great hotel with an amazing outdoor space and swimming pool. It does need renovation in the rooms and bar area and a bit more attention to cleanness. Some of the staff are really good with a great sense of service. We have been coming for years, but we can’t help to notice that the service and amenities are going down every year. No more welcome plate or snacks, no more turn down service, food in room service is not to standard, they bring food without any protection on it on some occasions. Overall we love this place but it needs to go back to its original standard.

Summary: The beach is very nice and clean. Also, the tropical garden and design of the hotel is nice and modern. The personnel is super friendly. However, this hotel is not a 5 star class hotel compared to other global standards and 5 star hotels on Phuket for following reasons: - the pool is very very small and totally crowded. It is not a pleasure to use the pool and I rate a pool experience high. In case the waves are very high there is no alternative and a hotel of this size would need a pool to swim some lanes... - the prices are absolutely way to overprized compared to a usual price- performance ratio. Besides the high price niveau which cannot be justified by exceptional quality, additionally a service fee of 10% is added e.g. in the restaurant plus 7% VAT, so additionally 17% on top of the already high prices. - the hotel pays attention to sustainability. However, the same hotel uses a bug spray in the garden area which led to a situation that on the next day a lot of dead bugs such as bees were laying all over the place. The hotel does this in good purpose because a lot of tourists do not like bugs, however, this is contradicting the sustainability concept and let those animals live here as they belong to Phuket and this area as well. If tourists cannot handle a bug in the tropical area, they should stay away from traveling here. Put nature first and allow some butterflies such as other resorts. - an earlier checkin was not possible although the room was ready.
