Whitney Farm Estate is unlike any other vacation home in Maine. The historic yet modern home has 16 rooms including a master suite with dressing room, gourmet kitchen, 6 bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, sun room and green house. Accommodates up to 22 quests. 3 Kings, 1 Queen Sofa, 3 Doubles, 2 Twins, 1 double sofa, day/trundle bed and 3 cots.
Relax by the in-ground pool or use the 12 person hot tub. Play horse shoes, shoot some hoops, bring your golf clubs for backyard driving, corn hole, ring toss, relax on the deck and watch the sunset, whatever you enjoy.
We are located less than six miles from the Oxford Casino & the closest Wal-Mart, just over seven miles from Hannaford and less than an hour from a major airport.
During the Winter months enjoy the property by going snow shoeing, cross country skiing or rent a local horse & sleigh and ride through the fields. Only a half hour from down hill skiing! Have snow machines? Bring them with you. 45 private acres for riding and close to trails.

Summary: Had another wonderful stay @ Whitney Farm Estate. Plenty of room for 16 guests. A few days of skiing, snowmobiling in the back fields, enjoying the hot tub, a trip to the casino and lots of gathering around the huge farm table eating, playing games and enjoying family. We will be back again next winter.

Summary: We recently stayed here with 3 families, with kids ranging from 1-9 years old. Overall we'd recommend it for large groups. Pros: -The place was large and had plenty of places to sleep. -Large kitchen and and large dining room table that was able to seat everyone -Contrary to some other reviews we saw, we felt the kitchen was well equipped -Large property with lots of toys and games provided to play with outside -Nice pool -Great hot tub -Good fire pit Cons -There really is no place inside to gather with a large group. There are 2 living rooms, divided by a wall. Our group of 13 was unable to gather in a single room. Really, it was hard to find a place for just the 6 adults to gather that wasn't the kitchen or outside. Given the size of the house, it would be nice to have a room for everyone to gather comfortably. -So many bees/wasps/hornets nests. We saw some bees on the property early in our stay and didn't really think anything of it, being a farm and all, bugs are to be expected, and so this didn't bother us. At one point the kids went to play on the swing set and one adult got stung and one of the kids was stung three times. Again, we didn't think much of it at the time, but on our final day we noticed it wasn't just "around the property" but nests were everywhere, and I mean everywhere. They were on the eave on the house, on the hot tub, in an air vent, and yes, we went back to the swing set and noticed a big nest on that as well, so that event wasn't a fluke, and was instead the result of a neglected playground. Major remediation is needed for this, but if it is taken care of, then everything will be great..

Summary: We came from all over the US for our grandaughter's high school graduation. We ranged from 8 years old to 70 years old. This property was so much better than we ever imagined. Plenty of space to spread out yet close enough for those fun family moments. Absolutely loved it !

Summary: We had a great time. House is huge, beautiful, clean and comfortable. We spent the majority of our weekend in the hot tub. There is not much to do in the area but the house made up for it. We cooked our own meals and enjoyed house, grounds and company.
