Summary: This unit had the strangest bathroom arrangement I've ever seen. Shower, sink and toilet were all in different rooms. The shower didn't drain and it was in an old triangular tub that had a 2 foot high, 10" wide wall that you had to climb over to get in. The owner responded to our complaint that it didn't drain, came over and told us that this is the way it's supposed to function...that because it was California, we would have to tamp down the water pressure to a trickle...that environmental concerns dictated we do so. We stayed in another of his units 5 days later and used the shower at full tilt water pressure with no drainage problem. Unit was a one-room, studio set-up and was cramped. The couch made into a bed which my son told us was comfortable. The host also treated us to a MAGA rant which was not appreciated.

Summary: This is a great place for renewal. It is safe and secure with wonderful touches of nature to give off a cozy feel in the woods. Beautiful skylight and high windows let the sun stream in every morning. Pine cones, greenery, waterfall curtains, and wall art of great outdoors add to the charm. Friendly hosts are available for your needs, and to make your stay even more enjoyable. Price is terrific for full kitchen, living room with BIG screen TV, and an amazing curved shower/bath with vaulted ceiling 'near the treetops.' Welcome to your world!

Summary: We enjoyed our stay in Modesto in this Studio Cabinlike Apartment, our hosts were always accommodating and very friendly leaving us feeling very welcome. We enjoyed walking down to the farmers market and were close to our son who lives with his family in a nearby town. The overall stay was great and we hope to be back!
