Summary: Cheap place to stay. We had to check in after hours. We had a hard time getting someone to show up at the front desk. When speaking to the woman there was a communication problem; English is not her first language. There were no visible bed bugs, no roaches. We always check! The remote they gave us at the front desk barely controlled the tv.There is a waffle house and a Burger King right across the street. The room was clean, and had a working heater/ air conditioner. There was lots of hot water in the shower! We're not hard to please lol. We had a pleasant stay.

Summary: Half the light-bulbs in the room were missing. I understand that I had rented a "smoking" room .... but the smoke detector was missing and a wash cloth was shoved into the space where the detector was supposed to go. Dead cockroach that someone had squished on the ceiling. Gap around door that was just letting cold air in around the door. Overall the "ambiance" of the room was actually quite poor and was seriously in need of some refreshing. Have never stayed at a hotel before that hands you a remote for the tv when you check in ......... that was weird.

Summary: The room was very clean, new beds were very comfortable and the A/C worked fine. The hotel is old but it is much better inside than the outside would suggest.
