Positive: Beautiful old world charm. Staff were very helpful, good location for shopping at Serravalle. Easy access to main motorways.

Negative: All was great, almost nothing to complain. The breakfast could be upgraded with free orange juice.

Negative: We booked this over cheaper hotels in the area as a treat for a wedding we were attending. Given the higher price, we were so disappointed to see that they didn’t have basic necessities you’d find in cheaper hotels such as a mirror in the bedroom and an iron. When asked if another room had a mirror to use we were told no, and that the only mirrors were in the bathroom. This means no ease for using hair products alongside the mirror and awkward to get ready especially given it was for a wedding. We had to use the one in the shared corridor at points which wasn’t great. Also disappointed with the lack of iron, we arrived at 1pm and when we came to ironing before the evening meal had to call to request an iron. We were told there were no irons and the only option was to iron between 8-3:30pm. We decided to do this the next day as was essential for attending the wedding. We were told to bring the clothes down to be ironed with no mention at all about price until it was returned back to us at €9 for a shirt and trousers. I feel it was very dishonest for the staff not to inform us that the ironing service charged, being a more expensive hotel it is expected that guests will be wearing smarter clothes in need of iron and it feels like a good way for them to make money by leaving you no choice but to pay for the ironing service. There were a couple of moments like this, such as no free water bottles in the room unless paid (again, cheaper hotels usually have this as a basic), and high drink prices. The pool was nice too but not sure why it is advertised as an infinity pool when it doesn’t run into a view, but probably only mentioning this because feeling frustrated with the mirror and iron situation!

Summary: Pleasant enough but wouldn’t recommend for the price, not practical for getting ready for a wedding
