Positive: Beautiful remote location that really made you feel that you were in the heart of the mountains Very peaceful Immaculately clean, nice choices for breakfast and very friendly staff

Negative: Nothing at all The access road is long and sometimes extremely narrow but I guess that comes with the location

Positive: After a long journey, I arrived quite late. I was welcomed with a warm smile and a fantastic dinner ( kitchen was already closed , but they waited for me ) Absolutely fantastic. A wonderful location, fantastic.

Negative: That I didn't stay longer.

Positive: The hotel was fabulous, new - spotlessly clean, wonderful staff, the manager Benjamin went out of his way to make us feel welcome & to show us the hotel’s amenities. We arrived in the morning & parked at the hotel - we then descended down to the bottom of the Col de Cayolle & biked up this beautiful route to the top. We were delighted with our spacious room & enjoyed the beautiful lounge area next to the restaurant to relax with a glass of wine before supper. The food was great. We are already planning to return in the winter to explore some ski touring & snow shoe hiking from the hotel & will for sure stay longer on our next visit. We have stayed at several hotels in this area, Refuge Hotel de Bayasse is far & away the nicest.

Positive: Fantastic stay in the middle of nowhere. Ideal for cyclists, walkers and "explorers ". 2 course meal offered with wine as well as a sumptuous breakfast. Rooms were large, comfy beds and a super bathroom complete with wet room shower. Loved it!
