Positive: Everything was absolutely perfect! Just less than 1 hr north of Lisbon you will find the most tranquil secluded retreat I ever been Surrounded by nature and its wonderful sounds, Refúgio da Quinta Nere Maitia was so far my favorite place to be in the world! The bungalows are so charming and well designed! Luxuriously decorated and thought of, there are so many details that you will be surprised daily! The bed is super comfortable and the kitchen is well equipped There is a natural water pond pool that elevates the experience for nature lovers like me and my family There is also a yoga, Pilates or sound bath studio that allow you to just immerse on the relaxation and have a great time There are not enough words to describe and thank the hosts, they are friendly, caring and loving! From fruit, games, activities, cakes and fresh juices, me and my family experienced it all! No TV was the best part, we were able to sing as a family, play games, have deep and meaningful conversation in our short stay. Before arrival we drove past the supermarket, got food and decided to spend full day and the resort to ensure we unwind and relax without interruptions.

Positive: There are no words to adequately describe the impeccable detail with which owners Patrick and Simone have created a tranquil oasis at Refúgio da Quinta Nere Maitia. It is a perfect spot for relaxing, and to use as a base for exploring nearby activities and experiences. Everything you need is provided, including a kitchen in each bungalow, bathroom supplies, and fresh orange juice! The grounds are lovely and the pool is delightful on a warm day. Owners and staff are exceptional! When you arrive, you will not want to leave.

Positive: The check in office was open from 4-7 pm and when we arrived, the hosts were in the office and they made it so easy. Patrick & Simone (owners and developers of the property) were so friendly, kind, helpful, happy, and made us feel welcome and comfortable.
