Positive: Lovely location with easy access to a forest trail right across the road. Comfortable bed, favorite shows available on TV service provided. good fridge although the refrigerator part doesn't get as cool as we would prefer but the freezer works fine. adequate microwave. no food preparation counterspace. there is a dresser that we thought would be a countertop of sorts. there is no kitchen sink so if a person comes thinking they're going to be able to wash their dishes, it has to be done in the bathroom sink which is not ideal. The only real drawback that we couldn't roll with was the ant invasion. we bought a pie and brought it back to our place and set it on the dresser cum kitchen counter. Less than two hours later we took it out of the box and started cutting it and hoards of little ants came pouring out!!! Of course, we had to throw the entire thing away so management owes us a cherry pie! it would be well if they would deal with the ant problem! Since there's a microwave and a fridge, we expected to do our own food preparation but the facilities to do that need to be improved. To have ants invade food just sitting on a countertop, still sealed and unopened is unbelievable! We cleaned up and sprayed the table and countertop with organic insect repellent. Not really a great ant treatment, but only thing we had available.

Positive: This was an absolutely blast. It was staying in a tent but much more comfortable. Setting was right in the redwoods and the staff was very accommodating and welcoming.

Negative: I didn’t like that the only showers for us to use were on the other side of the camp ground.

Positive: The location is amazing! Right across the street is the famous Hiouchi Cafe, we got a tip from the waitress about an easier way to get to Stout Grove and we were able to follow her way. It saved us a good trip hiking back and forth in less time.

Negative: None of the things were advertised. You need to tell those who stay that the internet and tv doesn’t work, and reading a good book is recommended. There is no toiletries and towels. The bathroom sink is backed up so water goes up when washing your hand or brushing your teeth. The water and inside surrounding felt cold. It feels like a moratorium in there. Don’t have a place to sit outside, we couldn’t even have a good campfire without a setup. Other than that everything was great!

Positive: I liked that it was very close to the redwoods. We rented one of the cabins and it was great to have a private bathroom and kitchen. The room was well looked after and basic but clean. Parking just outside cabin was also great.

Negative: On the booking page it says linen for bedroom but it was at an additional cost.

Positive: We liked the quietness and privacy. The room was comfortable and the little kitchen was very convenient and stocked with everything we needed. The bed was very comfortable...we chose to bring in our own pillows, linens, and towels and that saved us paying extra for linens. We liked that we could park our truck right outside the room and felt safe and secure. The RV park is very beautiful with the trees, easy access from the road, and the staff were friendly.

Negative: The room has enough space to fit a small love seat or other seating besides a desk chair. We carried the little kitchen table and the two chairs into the living room so we could have more seating and watch TV. Extra seating will really make the room cozy and comfortable.

Summary: We really enjoyed our time and will definitely come back again for a longer stay!

Positive: Location is great. Just beyond the fog so lots of sun but still not hot. Close to many great hikes. Tent has electricity and lights. Has a laundry facility if needed.

Negative: Check In is crazy, office is basically closed as soon as check in starts. Shower needs tokens which don't expect booking on a hotels site. Facilities (and tent) VERY unfriendly to ADA. Is a real bed but smelled like mildew. Really cramped sites, no space as all and lots of noise (including past quiet hours).

Summary: Good location and price but missing some important details for comfortable stay.
