Negative: Could work on reception. While checking in with one staff member another staff was talking away at that person causing some distraction. Typical of small ontario motels now . Alot to learn regarding customer service.

Positive: Property was well situated for my purposes (hunting in the area)

Negative: The room I initially booked became unavailable the evening before my arrival Was contacted about 2weeks prior by the owner to ask if i would cancel my booking and rebook with their site for a $5 a night reduction which I declined Seems suspicious to me that when I didn’t have time to look elsewhere that the room I had booked was suddenly unavailable One could assume that this was to avoid Booking.Com’s commission

Positive: This facility is a family-run business. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Food in the on-site restaurant is delicious. For our family, we booked a two-room suite with a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms were private. It was quiet and relaxing. The owners mentioned that they had purchased a number of new mattresses last year for the rooms. The beds were comfortable.

Negative: This property was originally built back in the day of the roadside motels. Much of it remains in that genre to this day. Thus, the rooms had a musty odour that accompanies an older building. Regarding the beds, one of the mattresses in the two-bed suite had not been replaced, so our daughters slept together on the newer mattress. That was a little disappointing.
