It is also close to downtown Palo Alto and Sand Hill Road and hence ideal for business travelers or families. A preferable alternative in all respects to the nearby hotels. The two bedrooms each have a king size bed. The third room (sunroom) has a full size bed. The house is stocked with all amenities to make your stay comfortable. There is ample driveway parking and a fenced front and back yard to enjoy private outdoor time. Stanford University and hospital are within two miles, as is downtown Palo Alto. Summary: We loved our stay here but there were a few hitches. We didn't get check in information until long after our plane had landed. When we didn't hear anything from host after texting, calling and contacting VRBO, we feared something was wrong and we needed to scramble for a new place to stay. This caused hours of stress and wasted time. The home itself was very inviting, in a great location and with an incredibly well-stocked and supplied modern kitchen and updated bathroom. The primary bedroom was great. The second bedroom is bare-bones (although the bed was comfortable) and not very private with an all glass door leading to the sun room. It needs a curtain or a solid door. There are a few other improvements that would help -- extension cords for the outlets in bedrooms. One has to crawl under the beds to connect chargers, etc. The living room could use more lights. The extra TV in the sun room didn't work at all and neither did the lamp in that room. We truly enjoyed that the house provided great space for the three of us to hang out either together or apart. It made a wonderful place to come back to after our activities. The kitchen was fantastic and appointed with abundant and high quality equipment, cutlery and flatware. And the location couldn't have been better -- walking distance to Downtown Menlo Park and in a safe quiet neighborhood.

Summary: We enjoyed our stay and we’re comfortable in the home. The location was convenient for our needs of moving our daughter into college. The kitchen and bathroom are both updated and nice. Great to have a full size washer and dryer. Master bed was comfortable. Great to have off street parking. Areas for improvement: front porch is a bit dreary, as is the backyard furniture. Needs a refresh. Never received information about the house from the host so couldn’t connect to Wi-Fi and had other questions that went unanswered. It didn’t significantly impact our stay bit somewhat frustrating. Bottom line, nice house in a nice neighborhood for a very affordable price. Great alternative to a hotel.

Summary: We stayed in this ideally located and very comfortable home while visiting family. The house was spotless, the beds comfortable, and the extremely well equipped kitchen had everything I needed to make and serve large family meals. (British travelers take note - amenities include an electric kettle). A perfect place to stay on a family holiday.
