Positive: This is a beautiful gem in Mardin, with nice rooms, excellent breakfast, and very kind people. I stayed 9 nights in room 3, and loved the atmosphere, bathtub, and wood fireplace on cool or stormy nights. It is a short walk to 1. Cadde where all the shops and restaurants are, about 1.5 km up quiet, wandering, residential stone alleys with stairs. If you don’t do stairs it is easy to get a taxi up the hill, and the staff will arrange rides there or to the airport, or down through the valley if you fancy an excursion to monasteries, madrasas, Midyat, or wherever your heart desires. If you don’t speak Turkish or Kurdish, no problem, you can communicate through a translation app on your phone. The beautiful people working here are what sets this place apart. I so greatly enjoyed getting to know Rezan, Züleyha, Sade, and little Rizgar. A highlight of my stay was having easy conversations and lingering over meals, coffee, and tea. I was traveling alone, but it didn’t feel like it because here I was treated as family. They even prepared a birthday cake for my time here.

Positive: The property is beautiful and the family who run it are lovely. Breakfast was huge and delicious. I lobed the big bath in the room and the log fire. The staff are so thoughtful and helpful.
Negative: It was a slight walk to most things and although not far it was often up steep steps and through dark alleys. The area is very safe however.
Summary: We had a lovely stay thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Positive: From the moment of arrival the staff were exceptional. Felt like family we had known forever. Seda, who seemed to work very long hours, was amazing. She was extremely helpful, smiling and fun. We loved her. There is no laundry service & I couldn’t do handwashing due to a broken wrist. She took it home and did it for me, above & beyond her duties. We had the in house dinner on our terrace ( we had been upgraded to king suite from junior suite). We ordered the Mardin specialities which was amazing, we couldn’t finish it all as very generous servings. Breakfast also generous and excellent. Highly highly recommend

Positive: Beautiful room and hotel! If I could I would have stayed there forever. Amazing architecture and wonderful decoration. Very clean and fresh, comes up with plenty of great amenities. It has a stunning terrace with some chairs to look over Turkey and Syria. Very tasteful breakfast served on the terrace! Finally, I can’t forget about super friendly and helpful staff: Rezan is a star!
Negative: The only disadvantage has nothing to do with the hotel I believe: if someone stays talking on the terrace, you may find it more difficult to fall asleep
Summary: Probably the best hotel we have ever stayed in!

Positive: Amazing stay in this beautiful well designed hotel ! The huge bath in the room is perfect way to relax from the outdoor heat. Great breakfast and staff available for all our requests .
