Positive: The old house has still its charme and it is mixed with a comfortable modern atmosphere. Very beautiful place ! Everything is close restaurants , Alimentari , beautiful mountain hikes in the Valley of Ayas. I had great time and thank you for giving back the live to this old Walter house.

Positive: The property was very clean and nicely appointed in terms of kitchen utensils etc A small but effective sauna is a real bonus after skiing Very quiet location

Negative: The property is listed as being in Champoluc but it’s 3 miles away in Lignod, so not possible to walk of an evening and no local taxi firm so your stuck if you want to drink if you are a couple or family no problem but if you want some nightlife it’s not here 20 min walk to a nice pizza restaurant The property is not child proof so don’t bring toddlers or babies The owner does not speak English

Negative: Possibly the one and only thing was the open stair case which we managed with but appeared potentially dangerous, especially with young children.

Positive: Cosy rustic apartment, they have recycled a lot of materials like the wood, which is nice. Comfortable bed and sofa, no issues with the hot water for a good shower. Toiletries were provided. Heating was working well. The host was very kind and waited for us to check us in until 6.30pm.

Negative: The stairs are not for everyone - not a problem for us, but they are quite steep, so keep it in mind. A few small things that could be improved: the door of the bedroom and bathroom were tricky to open / close (it’s an old fashioned mechanism that’s beautiful but not very functional especially if you need to visit the bathroom in the middle of the night :)). The kitchen table was wobbly so be careful. The recycled wood is not always well planed planed, so you could get a wood splinter if walking barefoot (I did once).

Positive: Very comfortable and well kitted out. Very good position in the valley, close to all the walks. Small village shop for supplies and great restaurant just up the road.

Negative: The only complaint was that the bed was very firm. But that was a minor issue.
