Summary: The lodge is located in a very remote location, despite of getting groceries are so inconvenient, Blake showed great generosity and hospitality to all the guests, make us feel like staying in an old friend's house. Kitchen, bathroom, and bed linen are of 5-stars clean. If you're planning to go on the Hump Ridge Track, choose Rarakau Lodge for your pre-departure accommodation is definitely the best option.

Summary: Lots of personal care by owner and this made the stay enjoyable and memorable. I had a free upgrade to the deluxe room too! Excellent amenities for the venue and room was warm - catered for by a good heater. I rate this place highly, if you want a bit of time out of town for a nature retreat and quiet space.
