Positive: It was not in the chaotic center of town.

Negative: Getting to the sites like Pompeii and Herculaneum were fine if you have a car. But getting into town involved expensive cab rides. No restaurants in walking distance. Our room was cruddy and unrepaired cracks from the daily earthquakes. Peeling paint. Substandard cleaning. A 3-star hotel at best. We were moved to a better room for our last night there. Still cruddy and smelly. Breakfast was a huge array of pastries. Nothing hot - unless the surley waiter remembered to bring to some hot bread. Hard to imagine, but the cappuccinos were bitter.

Summary: I would not stay there again.

Positive: The staff made our stay unforgettable. They are kind, helpful and go extra miles to please our every needs. We ate 2 times in the hotel restaurant and it was excellent too.

Positive: We arrived at the hotel very early after disembarking a cruise ship - the reception very kindly switched our appointed room so we could have an early check in - the purpose of our 2 night stay was just to chill out after a hectic 10 day tour of Italy - however we were offered a free shuttle to the metro each day - unfortunately the pool was shut during our two day stay as it was end of season but this didn’t ruin our stay - we used the garden facilities and the restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner - food was amazing and staff were very very good

Negative: Breakfast was small and for the man serving it, everything was too much. He could not wait to go home apparently as he started to clean up the breakfast before the time was over.
