Positive: Very low cost. Room was a decent size with ensuite and it was clean.

Negative: The hotel is pretty tired looking. Nothing was broken but it’s all looking pretty worn. The radiator made a clicking noise all night and you could hear the plumbing from other rooms - loud enough to wake me up. Given that issue it was odd that the sound proofing was good enough to block the motorway noise (give them credit for that). Access from the service station is a nightmare. The access road has a barrier but there are no instructions from Booking.com or the hotel on the access code Once you get the code you’ll find the keypad for the barrier is barely working so so have to enter the number (2024 when I’d stayed) several times. You have to pay for parking (£5) even though the parking is only for the hotel (separated from service station by the barrier). Not a big deal as hotel is so cheap but it would be good if the website said parking is charged.

Summary: Hotel clean but worn out. Poor access from service station.

Positive: Good rate. Location was good

Negative: Room was very worn, tired and dirty. Shower cubicle was dirty. Male on reception was rude and unhelpful. Wasn’t aware that you had to pay to park at the hotel. Myself and my partner were arriving in two separate vehicles so we had to pay £5 per each separate car on top of what we’d paid for the room.

Summary: Convenient. Got what we paid for.
