Positive: We had a wonderful stay at this homestay. The location is excellent—very close to major attractions and shops, which made getting around easy and convenient. We stayed for five days to celebrate my wife’s birthday, and she wanted a place that felt cosy yet beautiful. This home exceeded our expectations and was exactly what she had hoped for. The decor was lovely, the space felt warm and inviting, and all the amenities we needed were provided. Overall, a really comfortable and memorable stay. We would happily recommend this place and would love to return.

Positive: Absolutely beautiful house in a perfect location. Very close to shops and restaurants. Highlights for us were the view of the mountains from the garden and the relaxing jacuzzi bath. If you plan to visit the glenfinnan viaduct like us then this place is ideal. Highly recommend Raine’s House.

Positive: Raine’s house was incredible value. Easily the best accommodation we stayed at whilst on our trip round Scotland. The self check in process was simple. The location is perfect for Glenfinnan viaduct, Ben Nevis, the shipwreck and close to Fort William town centre. It had ample parking at the front door also. The house itself is absolutely stunning with beautiful furniture and a nice hot tub we loved after a days sightseeing. Highly recommend this beautiful accommodation in Fort William.

Positive: Raines House was a great surprise. Very stylishly decorated, warm and cosy. It has comfy couches, lovely bed and pillows and a good shower. The little touches of added shower gel, shampoo and conditioner, tea, coffee, milk and the all important shortbread biscuits were very welcome. The house is very spacious and in a quiet area with great views of the mountains and Ben Nevis, which we never got to see because of Storm Bram, clouds, wind and rain :). Sarah and Ryan are very responsive and only a Whatsapp/text message away if anything is needed. We had a very comfortable stay and would highly recommend it as a base to anyone wanting to explore the Scottish Highlands.

Positive: We've just returned home from our annual trip to Fort William and what a break it was! We had day trips out planned, from visiting the reindeer herd and quad treks in The Cairngorms, to walking the fairy pools in the Isle Of Skye. But we were equally as excited to return to Raines House after our days excursion, thanks to their recently renovated home, which they have cut no corners with. The place was spotlessly clean and was also very well equipped, to the point there was nothing we needed that wasn't readily available. They've gone above and beyond with the little luxuries, ensuring everything that makes a house a home is included. My partners favourite detail was the jacuzzi bath. I, myself used the shower which had 3 options, from your standard shower head, to the rain shower, to the trio of jets. My personal favorite detail was the electric/remote fireplace. It was nice returning from a day of driving, putting my feet up in front of the smart TV and switching the fire on to provide some ambience. The list didn't end there. The sofa was comfortable, the bed was comfortable, there was a television in every room. I'm a chef by trade and found the kitchen to be well equipped. The list truly goes on. When you step outside, you have a great view of Ben Nevis. If needed, the hosts are conveniently just a WhatsApp message away! On our annual trip, we usually stay at a cottage about a mile away, every year. They were booked up for our dates this year, which is how we stumbled across Raines House, which will now be our first choice every year, without a doubt! I've tried to make this review as informative as possible, but there'll be a lot I have missed out and i really haven't done it justice. To anybody reading this, don't hesitate in booking. Trust me, we're picky and it's a solid 10/10 from us. One final thank you to Ryan & Sarah at Raines House!
