Positive: The location was beautiful. It has stunning views over the lake with glimpses of the pyrannies in the distance. The pool was a firm favourite with the children and my husband enjoyed the bbq area.

Negative: The water in the pool became green by the Friday of our stay. I suspect it was due to the very hot weather and subsequent thunderstorm, but it would still have been nice for staff to have rectified this. The site also asks for a £400 deposit from a credit card or debit card. We hadn't expected this on arrival.

Positive: We love the area! Fortunately, there were hardly any people at the site, so lovely and quiet. We had a view of the lake and the countryside. Dining area and settee comfortable for two people., but would have been cramped with four people.

Negative: When we arrived at our home for 5 nights, there were no towels ( later explained - if you stay for up to 3 nights, you get towels but not if you stay 5 nights - strange! - the owner was kind enough to give us a couple of towels.). There is no toaster or oven (microwave only and two ring stove). The home would have been too small for 4 adults, especially if you wanted to cook. Despite the above, we had a really lovely break at this place.
